We just got back from Nashville for a taping of an upcoming PBS special called Lyrics and Legends. It's a songwriter in the round format, featuring 3 well-known hit-makers, and begins with an upcoming songwriter or "rising star". We are included as rising stars in the episode which features Susan Tedeschi, James Slater and Kipp Winger. Some of the other songwriters featured on the program include: Kris Kristofferson; Patty Griffin; Shawn Colvin; John Hiatt; Jimmy Webb; Charlie Daniels and many more! We'll let you know when it's going to air ... there's great dynamics between the songwriters and the performances are incredible!!

The Laws are Canadian husband-and-wife singer/songwriters. Their songs are an acoustic mix of country, bluegrass, folk and pop, delivered with harmony singing "that recalls The Everly Brothers in their prime". As recent winners of the Americana ranks behind a typically ambitious touring schedule (200-plus nights a year on the road) and a stirring new album for their own label titled Ride It Out. The duo’s fifth CD, Ride It Out is packed with compelling original songs, empathetic musicianship and emotionally charged vocal performances. IN the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting Competition, The Laws are making a strong move for greater recognition in the COUNTRY !

 ~Update~ Tresa Jordan charted a number one Bluegrass song on the Roots Music Report Chart Jan 2008 'Ain't No Grave' arranged by Tresa on her self titled CD. Tresa co-wrote 7 songs on her album. Her 1st single 'I Turn To Country' co-written by Tresa charted on the Music Row Country Chart 2006 Tresa's 2nd release 'Angel's Cry' Co- written by Tresa also charted on the Music Row Country Chart 2006. In 2001 Tresa co- wrote a song for Avalon that held number 1 position of 5 weeks. She has written and co- written over a hundred songs and has written songs for other artist as well.
